 I
qualified in Beauty Therapy in May 2000. I began working
full time straight away but having grown up in business
myself i knew it would not be too long before i ventured
out on my own! I worked in a salon In Tuam for 2 years
until I decided it was time to take the plunge!
2002 was a big year for me. I won the Galway Rose and
made my journey to the Rose of Tralee in August, I also
met my husband Michael, and I opened the doors of my first
salon Beyond Beauty. I started off doing the basics but
I always knew that I would further my skills.
I have a love for make- up and really enjoy doing make
overs for weddings, birthdays and all of those special
occasions.
In 2005 I travelled to London to train in permanent cosmetics
which is when I first got involved in the training side
of things. After I trained in permanent cosmetics I began
to do some work on the side with Natural Enhancement at
trade shows and over the years began to do some training
for them. Teaching has really helped me in business and
i have developed a real passion for it.
In 2007 we moved premises which is when I took on Laser
Hair Removal. I researched this a great deal and wanted
the ‘Best’ which is why I decided to go with
the Candela GentlLase FDA approved medical grade Laser.
Results are fantastic and it has since become our number
one treatment at the salon.
Our last move was in 2010! I felt that we needed to be
more visible to expand the business and so we reached
our final destination at Summerfield in the heart of Claregalway
village.
I work very hard to move with the times. We are constantly
updating our skills, and providing our clients with the
best treatments and products available in today’s
market.
We work alot through our Facebook Page and our mailing
list and run as many special offers and deals as possible
to give our clients value for money.
My policy at Beyond Beauty is to provide you with a friendly
clean environment, with familiar faces offering you top
class, professional treatments that are affordable.

 Gillian
qualified in beauty therapy in 2001, & is well known
throughout Galway having been in business herself for
six years. Gillian has a love for skincare and waxing
and has completed many advanced training courses to further
her skills. She started with us in Beyond Beauty in May
2012 and has become a firm favourite with our regular
clients and has also been welcoming some of her own!
Since joining us she has also developed her love for Laser
Hair Removal and has now become a specialist in this treatment
also.
